Original batik on 100% Habotai silk 8 mm. DRY CLEAN ONLY. I am vey passionate about ancient art forms and Batik is one of the most surprising ones. As in encaustic painting, here the artist needs to work with layers of besswax and pigments. As an artist and psychologist, here again we see a symbolic reference to the dynamics of the psyche according to the Freudian perspective. This complex art form has influenced my art immensely both technically and conceptually . The scarf is 60 inches long by 40 inches wide.
